Appraise Your Antiques

Adult activities and classes / Hobbies / General Interest -
Adult - Fall 2024

Learn the basics of identifying and appraising art, antiques, jewelry, coins, and collectibles. Get tips on what makes things valuable and the best ways to sell them. Examine things like lithophane, trench art, U.S. Zone china, a U.S. 3 cent nickel, precious gemstones, mourning jewelry & German silver. No pictures or books in this class, everything is “hands on”. Bring one item, no larger than a shoe box to the first class, research its value on your own with the research tools you've been given, then compare your results with the appraisers at the second class. Bring a magnifying glass. Instructor David Schlueter is a Certified Appraiser.

Eligible UCare members may receive up to a $15 discount on many Community Education classes when registering over the phone. Contact Community Education for further information.
