Adult - Winter 2023

Do you have a basic understanding of how to use your sewing machine and would like to advance your skills? Join us for this fun, informative class where you’ll come away with a good understanding of sewing terms and tools; learn how to make button holes and attach zippers; practice gathering, inserting elastic, hemming, and following a pattern. Bring supplies listed online and leave with a simple completed project. $10 supply fee paid to instructor the first class.

Sandra Bengtson

Instructor

Sandra S.Bengtson, owner of Avant Garb Fashions, was fortunate to learn how to sew by her mother at age eight. Decades later, Sandra’s passion for sewing has paved the way to fulfilling a lifelong dream; teaching others. As her mother did for her, Sandra is committed to spread her love of sewing. Sandra believes that providing a warm, inclusive classroom environment with fun and laughter, maximizes the learning experience and may even foster new friendships.
