    Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork, and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents’ drones. Students will be guided by experienced camp instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones.   • Bone Boosters

    Boost your bones by adding strength training to your exercise routine! Strength training will build your bones and benefit your joints by strengthening the surrounding tissues, maintaining alignment to decrease wear and tear. We will use hand weights, resistance bands, and yoga balls for a total body workout. Participants must be able to get up and down from an exercise mat. Modifications will be provided for beginners and also those further along their fitness journey. Class includes balance training. Online participants need: Cushioned mat or surface, hand weights, resistance band, and yoga ball. All participants should: Dress in comfortable clothing and wear athletic shoes Have water handy Cushioned yoga mat Eligible UCare members may receive an allowance to spend toward community education classes.     Join us for some summer time on the volleyball courts. This is a Co-Ed class. Students will have warm up skill building followed by open play games. Teams will be made up of students during the session.

    This program is for participants in 6th-12th grades. The prerequisites for this program are: -knowledge of competitive strokes -ability to swim 50 yards (2 lengths to the pool) The following guidelines will need to be followed in order to participate in the program: The participant may enter the pool facility five minutes prior to class. The participant should come dressed to swim if possible. The participant is allowed goggles, swim cap, towel, warm-ups, flip-flops/sandals and a plastic water bottle (must be a screw top). Do not share equipment. Please bring the following: googles, kickboard*, and pull buoy*. If you do not have these*, they can be checked out to you for the class. Googles and swim caps are available for purchase. The participant must leave five minutes after the class ends. If the participant is not feeling well, PLEASE do not come to class. No partial or pro-rated fees for absences/ vacations/ etc.
