Minnesota law requires that insurance companies offer a 10% reduction on auto insurance for three years if you complete a state-approved defensive driving course taught by professional, certified instructors.     2025-2026 WINTER VOLLEYBALL LEAGUES A great way to get some exercise this Winter is to grab your friends and form a team and play in one of our adult recreational volleyball leagues. Women’s, Men’s, and Co-Rec Leagues will be formed. Divisions that will be offered are Power (refereed), and Intermediate (non-refereed). All matches will be played at various middle school gyms. WHO: Adults ages 18 and older WHEN: Various nights – January 5 to April 2026 - Matches scheduled between 6:15 – 10:15 p.m. DIVISION: Mondays – Women’s (Power) Tuesdays – Men’s (Power) Wednesdays – Co-Rec (Power & Intermediate) COST: $345 per team for Power Divisions (Refereed) $245 per team for Intermediate Division (Non-Refereed) Sign your team up, if you are an individual player looking to get a team, call and get added to our Free Agent List League includes a minimum of 9 matches (8 regular season matches, and a single elimination playoff).     2025-2026 Andover Youth Wrestling - Pre School Tough Tumblers Connor Schlotfeldt and the Andover Huskies Youth Wrestling Association is offering a Pre-School age Tough Tumblers class that is open to all kids that are potty-trained through Kindergarten. Classes will be held in the Andover High School wrestling room, providing a fun and safe environment to develop gross motor skills and body control. Kids will learn how to forward/backward roll, how to move like animals, (duck walk, bear crawl, crab walk, seal slide), and some basic movements that are used in wrestling and how to play/work with a partner. Current family registration will close on March 12 at midnight. Registration will be closed March 13-17. New AH District families: Registration will open on Tuesday MARCH 18, 2025 at 6:00 am The 2025-26 School Year & Summer 2025 sessions will open at the same time and families will register for each season independently based on your family needs for School year and Summer care. Contracts (accepted or pending) do not carry over from season to season or year to year. All families, including waitlisted families, must register annually for any future care. Whether you want to learn to swim, improve your stroke technique or burn a few calories, Roosevelt Community Pool provides a variety of lessons, activities and classes for adults to enjoy. Adult Lap Swimming & Water Walking: Keep up a fitness regime. Please note, Anoka-Hennepin Community Education's registration policy is the following: any class cancellations must be done five business days before the class begins and there is a $10 processing fee.   • Adult Fitness - Deep Water Aqua Jog

    Maximize your results in this mixed training program. Aqua Jogging is an intense, but non-impact, exercise alternative that will challenge all levels of participants. Workout includes safe, effective lower body variations and specific arm movements. All activities are done in water 9-12 feet deep. A jogging belt is worn to hold the participant in a vertical position. Jogging belts are provided, but they are also available for purchase at the Roosevelt Community Pool Office prior to class starting. Please note the following restrictions: The participant may enter the pool facility five minutes prior to class. There will be no use of lockers in the locker rooms; only use of showers (to rinse off before and after class) and bathroom use. Participants are asked to bring their belongings in a bag on the pool deck. There is limited locker room changing available. You are encouraged to come in your swimsuit and leave in your swimsuit (depending upon weather). If the participant is not feeling well, PLEASE do not come to class. Our Adult Fitness Programs have two ways to attend: Register online for a spot in the class. Please note, if we reach the class capacity drop-in will not be available.     Swim laps in designated lap swim lanes for fitness and conditioning. Participants are able and encouraged to share a lane. Please note the following restrictions: The participant may enter the pool facility five minutes prior to class. If the participant is not feeling well, PLEASE do not come to swim. Our Adult Fitness Programs have two ways to attend: Register online for a season pass - good for specific dates and times. This guarantees you a spot and is available for a reduced rate. If a lap swimming lesson is not at capacity, drop in is available for a fee of $5.00. Swim masks are not allowed during any of our lap swim or recreational swim sessions. Lap swimmers may wear goggles (that do not cover the nose).

    The Adults with Special Needs program (also known as "Project Power") provides specialized classes for adults with disabilities, offering accommodation services for all program participants. Activities and classes offer educational, recreational and social activities for participants that practice life skills to increase independence, communication, and community integration. Activities and classes are offered in a wide range of styles and formats to meet the needs of students, including arts and crafts; cooking and dining; health and safety; music and theater; recreation, athletics and exercise.   • Age-Specific

    Age-specific classes are offered to help families learn about challenges and opportunities that come with parenting children at each age and stage, while children can interact with peers that have similar developmental skills. Each class includes parent/child time, learning activities for children and parent discussion. The age of the child attending the class must fall within the guidelines during the first week that the class is held.
  • Ageless Yoga

    Ageless Yoga is perfect for older adults. We will move through seated, standing, traditional and modified yoga poses with additional focus on stretching, flexibility, balance, and restorative breathing promoting stress reduction and relaxation. This class is shoe-and joint-friendly and we do not get down on mats. Dress in comfortable clothing, wear athletic shoes and bring water. You will need a sticky yoga mat for foot grip. Eligible UCare members may receive an allowance to spend toward community education classes. Members must have UCare insurance at the time of registration. Limits and restrictions may apply.
