Tai Chi & Qigong Mix it Up

Adult - Winter/Spring 2026

Students will learn how to “play Tai Chi” by practicing different Tai Chi forms, Qigong forms, Acupoints, Tai Chi Ruler, Bang Stick, Baoding Ball, and Unweighted Ball. Appropriate for most physical conditions. Students must be able to turn, bend slightly, and stand at least half of the time. This class improves student’s flexibility, agility, body awareness, balance, and calms and relaxes the mind. No experience necessary. Loose clothes, flat shoes, no sandals please!

Eligible UCare members may receive an allowance to spend toward community education classes. Members must have UCare insurance at the time of registration. Limits and restrictions may apply. Contact UCare for further information.

Instructor

Balance Life Tai Chi


Christine Morgan has been practicing Tai Chi since the mid 80s and teaching for approximately 18 years. She has certified in the Chen Synthetic style and now teaches Yang Short Form, SUN Forms, Tai Chi Ruler and Bang Stick Forms, and Qigong. Christine is a Certified Tai Chi Instructor, Certified Qigong Instructor, and Certified Level III American Tai Chi and Qigong Instructor (over 2,000 hours of teaching students). Christine is also a member of the Qigong Institute and the U. S. Tai Chi Community. 

Lionel Locke is a Level 1 Tai Chi Instructor with the American Tai Chi and Qigong Association, and a certified Tai Chi Instructor with Tai Chi Healthways . He has been teaching SUN forms for more than 7years, and practicing Yang and Tai Chi Ruler.
