Kids will learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! Campers will spend the day at the farm. When they ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40-50 minutes (no trails), they will practice how to steer, stop, turn and walk on their own. They also might make horse treats, do a craft and play games. And don't forget the time to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders.
Campers need to bring: - Long pants, closed toe shoes- No flip flops!- Dress appropriately for the weather inside and outside of the barn- Sunscreen/sunglasses/hat/bug spray/hair tie- Water bottle/drink/snacks and a lunch- Treats for the horse if you want- Helmets are provided
Parent drop-off is at 9 am and parent pick-up is at 3 pm. Sorry, parents are not allowed to stay for the day. Camps are held rain or shine, as Boulder Pointe has an indoor barn and arena. Parents will need to electronically complete a Release and Liability Form (one per person) on Boulder Pointe's website. Meet at Boulder Pointe Equestrian and Event Center.
