American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) - Ages 16+
Become certified to teach American Red Cross swim lessons. Upon completion, attendees will be able to teach all the skills for American Red Cross swimming levels, organize lesson plans in a progressive manner, fill out student skill sheets, and give corrective and positive feedback. Attendance is required for ALL classes. Coursework for the blended learning portion MUST be completed prior to the first day of class (this will be provided via online link).
Prerequisites:On the first day of class, you must be prepared to:- Produce a driver's license or birth certificate showing you are at least 16 years old by the last day of class.- Demonstrate swimming skills equivalent to the American Red Cross Level 4 requirements.- Complete the online pre-course work for the Water Safety Instructor course.
