The best boards contain many elements that can be prepped ahead, so cook along with Kirsten as she makes quick pickled vegetables and spiced nuts. Then follow along–or take notes for later–as she adds fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and/or dips then kicks it up a notch with edible garnishes. We'll talk about what elements make up a well-rounded cheese board, how to arrange cured meats for charcuterie boards, when to go beyond the traditional and how to source local products.



Eligible UCare members may receive an allowance to spend toward community education classes. Members must have UCare insurance at the time of registration. Limits and restrictions may apply. Contact UCare for further information.

A recent transplant to Minnesota, Kirsten Madaus has been eating with local intention and sharing how to make the most of the farm share via her website Farm Fresh Feasts. In addition to sharing her love of Instant Pot cooking with folks in person and online, Kirsten spends her days helping fight food insecurity with Minnesota Central Kitchen.
