Are you interested in strength training but don’t know how or where to start? Research shows that resistance training is crucial to maintaining muscle mass, especially as we age. Join us for a beginner chair-based class where we will use hand weights, resistance bands, and yoga balls while both sitting and standing to work every muscle group. No experience needed! Wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes and bring a water bottle.

All participants should: 

  • Dress in comfortable clothing and wear athletic shoes
  • Have water handy



Eligible UCare members may receive an allowance to spend toward community education classes. Members must have UCare insurance at the time of registration. Limits and restrictions may apply. Contact UCare for further information.

Stephanie is certified group fitness Instructor, registered yoga teacher (200 hours), licensed Zumba Instructor, and certified personal trainer with specialties in senior fitness and senior yoga. She has been teaching fitness classes for 15 years.
