Beginning Spanish 102

Adult - Winter/Spring 2026

Learning Spanish enables you to communicate with Spanish-speakers in your community, at work, or when traveling. Classes will explore both the language and culture, and focus on pronunciation, reading comprehension, basic grammar and speaking skills. 102 and 103 classes will help you gain fluency and add new vocabulary. Participants will need some Spanish experience or completion of Spanish 101.

Prerequisite for Spanish 103: Spanish 102.
Prerequisite for Spanish 104: Spanish 103.

The same book will be used for all classes. Instructor is a native speaker. Class fee: $99 needs book; $75 has book from previous class.

Eligible UCare members may receive an allowance to spend toward community education classes. Members must have UCare insurance at the time of registration. Limits and restrictions may apply. Contact UCare for further information.

Iris Myers

Instructor

Iris Myers is a native Spanish speaker. Since 2007 she has worked as an adjunct Spanish language instructor at several community education centers and other organizations in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She’s passionate about teaching the language and engages students into learning, participating, and advancing their skills in a relaxed and fun class setting. Iris is degreed in international business and business administration.
