MS - Basic Crochet and Amigurumi
What is Amigurumi you ask? It is the art of crocheting creatures with yarn. In this class, you will learn basic crochet techniques that you can use to make scarves and hats. We will build these skills and learn how to read patterns so that you can make fun amigurumi fantastical creatures and toys. Come to this class to learn a new hobby and create something unique. -
MS - Bobcat Book Club
Do you love to read? This after school book club is for you! The book club will be reading "Starfish" by Lisa Fipps with Mrs. Rowles. You will receive a book, plus be able to share in discussion with other peers. It is a great opportunity to share your love for the literary arts and meet new students who enjoy the same interest. -
MS - Bobcat Cooking Club
Come join Oak View Middle School's very own Child Nutrition Supervisor and learn how to cook up some fun! You will learn quick and easy recipes with Ms. Basterash who brings her extensive knowledge and creative kitchen ideas that will equip you to prepare easy meal delights for the entire family. Allergy Warning: This class may use Nutella, peanut butter, egg, milk products, wheat, and gluten. -
MS - Cake Wars
Have you ever decorated a cake with fondant? Do you like competitions? Team-up with friends, or make new friends in class, and let the fun begin! You and your teammates will brainstorm ideas and then apply a base coat of buttercream icing to your own two-layer, 5" mini cake. You will enjoy learning how to color, roll, cut, and drape colorful pieces of fondant to create a variety of designs for your masterpiece! Who will win? Note that this class meets on a Friday. There are no activity buses available so please plan to pick your student up after the class. -
MS - Candy Art
Do you have a ‘Sweet Tooth’? In this edible art class, you will have an opportunity to use a variety of supplies to create your delicious works of art! Learn how to pour candy coating into festive molds. Have fun dipping, swirling, and sculpting tasty treats. You can even add colorful candy sprinkles for a final touch. You will enjoy making a wide array of festive candy to take home and share with your family or friends, or even give as a gift to someone special! -
MS - Cooking 201
In this 3-week class students will be introduced to basic cooking skills, practice kitchen safety and learn food safety. Participants will prepare quick, simple meals using common ingredients, low-cost mixes and/or time saving foods. Each class will cook, enjoy and clean up so they can help with the families' menu planning and meal preparation. -

In this 3-week class students will be introduced to basic cooking skills, practice kitchen safety and learn food safety. Participants will prepare quick, simple meals using common ingredients, low-cost mixes and/or time saving foods. Each class will cook, enjoy and clean up so they can help with the families' menu planning and meal preparation. -

MS - Crochet Club
Do you love to crochet? This after school crochet club is for you! Work on your own projects, join a group crochet-a-long, share ideas and ask questions of your peers. The club will have an advisor who can assist students who are new to crocheting. This is a great opportunity to share your love for crocheting and meet new friends who enjoy the same interest. -

MS - Junior Cooking
Unleash your inner chef! This fun and interactive class is designed for the young culinary enthusiasts. Learn basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and healthy recipe preparation. Explore a variety of cuisines and create delicious dishes to share with family and friends. Perfect for kids who love to cook and eat! January 22nd will be a breakfast menu including: Breakfast tacos, sticky bread, and yogurt parfaits. January 29nd will be a lunch menu including: Spicy BLT wrap, pizza tortilla chips, and roasted broccoli with strawberry lemonade. Dietary accommodations will be made when possible. -
MS - Spring Colored Pencil Composition
Do you enjoy working with colored pencils? You will definitely want to participate in this class! Have fun learning basic techniques for using colored pencils. You will use a variety of colors to create layers of color and texture to your drawings. Discover how to use light to create realistic pictures suitable for framing!
