    2024 ANOKA EVENING T-BALL LEAGUES Play Ball! Join us for this evening t-ball league in Anoka. T-Ball develops the primary baseball skills of hitting, running, fielding and throwing. Young players will gain an understanding of the fundamental rules of baseball. The main focus of the Anoka evening t-ball program is to provide age appropriate skill development, social interaction, parent involvement, and non-competitive contests. League will be 7 weeks, first 3 weeks will be practices and last 4 weeks will be games. WHO: Ages 4-5 and 6–7 WHEN: Pick your league night - May 6 to June 27, 2024 A) Monday league: 4-5 year old division B) Tuesday league: 6-7 year old division C) Wednesday league: 4-5 year old division D) Thursday league: 6-7 year old division WHERE: Note pick your practice site, games could be at all sites. Wilson Elementary School (3 fields) Lincoln Elementary School (1 field) Sorensen Park (1 field) TIMES: Practice: 45 minutes - 5:30 - 6:15 p.m. or 6:15 - 7:00 p.m. (will rotate) Games: 1 hour - 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. (Note – a schedule will be handed out at first practice, could practice at either time) COST: $79 (includes a t-shirt, hat, and participation award) Volunteer Coaches Needed – Volunteer coaches are needed to lead these teams. If you are looking for a rewarding experience please consider becoming a t-ball coach. All Coaches will be subjected to a background check. Coaches will receive a t-shirt.     AT/Rec - Learn the Sport of BMX Bike Racing - Spring

    Learn the Sport of BMX Bike Racing at the Rum River BMX facility Ages 3 to Adults are welcome Register and come to Rum River BMX facility for classes on the March 3, April 7, and May 5, 2025 Learn the sport of BMX bike racing. Discover BMX fundamentals including what BMX racing is, racing bike types, BMX terminology, course set-up & safety and hands-on riding instruction from some of the top BMX riders in the United States. Please wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt and tennis shoes. Bikes and helmets are required, so bring whatever you have. There are a limited number of loaner bikes and helmets available at the track on a first come, first serve basis. A signed waiver is required for each participant, which is available upon check-in at the track. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch their child during class. Registration starts at 5:30PM, Class Starts at 6:00 pm Class held at the Rum River BMX Facility - 101 Isanti Parkway NW - Isanti, MN 55040 BMX Pedal Bike Racing This session will cover BMX fundamentals including “What is BMX racing?,” racing bike types, BMX terminology, course set up and BMX safety. Also, the most important lesson, how to RIDE LIKE THE WIND! Students will receive hands on riding instructions and will practice their new skills on the BMX track. It is designed for new riders (novice) who are interested in the sport. If you can pedal your bike with out training wheels, you can take part in this class. No special bikes required, if it has wheels, a few adjustments and we will make it work for this class (your bike will need to have the reflectors, kickstand, chain guard, and pegs removed). If you do not have a bike, we have some available at the track for use on a first come first serve basis. A full-face helmet is recommended, as helmets are required. You must wear long pants, long sleeve shirt and close toed shoes sturdy shoes.

    NFL YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL – EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE 2025 Spring Leagues - Champlin Park HS in Champlin, Roosevelt MS in Blaine, Anoka HS in Anoka Regular Leagues for Grades K – 8th (ages 6 to 14). Presented by: YMCA North and Anoka-Hennepin Community Ed Athletics NFL FLAG FOOTBALL is coming to Anoka-Hennepin Community Education! You must register on-line at: YMCA-North (Click on YMCA North to be brought to their registration website) For more information call 612-230-9622 Are you ready for some football? Join the largest youth flag football organization in the country! This 7-practice/6-game season held on Sundays is a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed format. We try to limit teams to 10-11 players to maximize playing time. This is an exceptional program for first time players who want to learn the fundamentals of football. This is also a wonderful opportunity for players who want to continue enhancing their skills before taking the next leap into tackle football. Games will take place between 9:00am - 7:00pm on Sundays (subject to change). Exact schedules will be created and posted 1-2 weeks prior to the season start date. Younger divisions typically play earlier in the day while the older divisions typically play later. Practices take place one hour prior to game time each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all! Participants will receive an NFL reversible jersey and flag belt, theirs to keep! Kindergarten thru 3rd Grade divisions (Lombardi and Shula) will receive individual participation awards at the end of the season. Madden divisions (4th thru 8th grade) will participate in playoff games on the last day of the season - 1st and 2nd place teams receive awards! There are no try-outs! Everyone participates! Our program relies on volunteer parents to coach our teams! We encourage all parents interested in volunteering to do so during the registration process. We will provide several resources along with a comprehensive coaches meeting to ensure all coaches have a fun and successful season! Open Registration: December 1st to March 5, 2025 Season Start Date: April 6, 2025 Season End Date: May 18, 2025 Registrations will be accepted after the deadline based on availability and will be subject to a $10.00 late fee. All jerseys, flag belts & merchandise purchased will be shipped directly to your home. A $12.99 shipping fee will be added on to all participants registrations. The MOJO App shows your individual roster and schedules, including your meet and greet time, practices, and games. There is also a team chat function to stay in contact with coaches and other players on the team. Once rosters are confirmed, you will get a notification that the team pages are ready.

    This course is best suited for 10 to 13-year-olds interested in learning the current practices of caring for young children and how to manage their babysitting business. Students will learn safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants and how to handle behavior problems. Students receive a reference book, handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit. Presented by Emergency Outfitters.

You will learn harmony, proper technique, and rhythmic skills to advance your guitar-playing abilities. Guitars are provided to use during the class, students may bring their own guitar. Skill level 2: student has 1-3 chords or scales memorized(or can play the chords or scales). Student has some experience playing or has had some lessons. The instructor will evaluate the skill level of each participant the first week and may adjust the level based on skill ability.

    Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork, and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents’ drones. Students will be guided by experienced camp instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones.
