  • AT/Rec - Andover Youth Wrestling - Pre-School Tough Tumblers

    2025-2026 Andover Youth Wrestling - Pre School Tough Tumblers Connor Schlotfeldt and the Andover Huskies Youth Wrestling Association is offering a Pre-School age Tough Tumblers class that is open to all kids that are potty-trained through Kindergarten. Classes will be held in the Andover High School wrestling room, providing a fun and safe environment to develop gross motor skills and body control. Kids will learn how to forward/backward roll, how to move like animals, (duck walk, bear crawl, crab walk, seal slide), and some basic movements that are used in wrestling and how to play/work with a partner. Class Dates: -Three 5 week sessions that will meet on Wednesdays Session 1 - November 12, 19, December 3, 10, and 17, 2025 - not meeting on November 26 Session 2 - January 7, 14, 21, 28, and February 4, 2025 Session 3 - February 11, 18, 25, March 4 and 11, 2025 Where: Andover High School Wrestling Room Times: 6:00 to 6:45 pm Pricing - $55 for each session.

    HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASTICS – 2025 FALL OFF SEASON TRAINING CLASSES This class is for current high school team members; or girls who will be joining a high school team for the 2025-26 season. We will work to maintain current skills, train basics, increase our fitness level and work upgrades for next season’s routines. In this hands-on course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the sport, including, what BMX is, types of bikes, and safety. And yes—you’ll get on the track! Students will receive personalized riding instruction and get the chance to practice on our professionally maintained BMX course. No bike? No problem! We provide a fleet of HARO race bikes and full-face helmets in various sizes.     2025 Fall Tornado Tumblers Gymnastics Ages 5-6 school age This class is for students who are 5 years old by the first day of class, up to age 6. At Tornado Tumblers our goal is to offer an affordable introduction to gymnastics through an age based community ed program. We provide a warm up and two skills circuits each class focusing on strength, flexibility, coordination and gymnastics terms and skills on all 4 events. This class is lesson planned by Anoka Head coach Amy Hedberg and coached by our dedicated team of coaches. We encourage families to utilize the wait list if the class you desire is currently full. Sometimes we can make adjustments, notify you of other openings and plan better for the future by seeing the needs of the community. We do operate full classes with limited space in our gym; please register thoughtfully and bring only 1 spectator per student to class. In Anime club we got you covered. Come join in the otaku fun as we learn how to draw characters, animals, cool swords, radical city scapes and more. An artist will lead us in drawing practices at the start of each meeting then we will have a chance to work on anime art of our own using artist pencils, Mangaka pens, and alcohol ink markers. Every week we will have plenty of time to talk about our favorite shows and comics and nerd out with our fellow club members.     Does your child love to sing? We are excited to announce that the Brookside Storm Choir is looking for enthusiastic singers to join us! As a choir member your son or daughter will learn how to make beautiful music with their voice; as well as learn breathing techniques, how to read choral music and make lasting friendships. Our musical journey will culminate in an evening concert, where family and friends are invited to join us as we share the beautiful music we have learned. On the last day of class, students will stay after school to practice, enjoy a pizza dinner and stay through our evening performance. Class registration includes a t-shirt that students will wear for the concert. Due to the limited spots available, we ask you to only sign your child up if they are available to perform in the concert.
