Yoga-Hatha

Hatha is the classical form of yoga and open to being gentle in nature or more of a power form of yoga that allows freedom in style. Class focuses on building strength, balance, flexibility, and control of the breath as tools to relax the mind and body. Short meditation or reflection at the end. This is a mixed-level class. Bring water, a yoga mat and two yoga blocks.

Bring to class: 

  • Water 
  • Yoga mat
  • Straps, blocks, towels, or padding (Optional)

Melissa T Fitness

Instructor

Melissa is an International Sport Science Association (ISSA) certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She has been in the fitness industry and teaching for Anoka-Hennepin Community Education since 2001. Melissa teaches group fitness classes, as well as fitness and nutrition seminars.

Melissa's personal philosophy is that it doesn't matter where we start from, it's where we go and what we do that matters. If we try, even baby steps will get us there. She believes everyone has the ability to make yourself the best you can be, she just helps you with the road map to getting it done.
