This course follows the American Academy of Pediatrics – Babysitter Lessons And Safety Training (BLAST). This course is best suited for 11 to 13-year-olds interested in learning the current practices of caring for young children and how to manage their babysitting business. Students learn current practices for safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants and how to handle behavior problems. Students receive a reference book, handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit.
