    Ageless Yoga is perfect for older adults. We will move through seated, standing, traditional and modified yoga poses with additional focus on stretching, flexibility, balance, and restorative breathing promoting stress reduction and relaxation. This class is shoe-and joint-friendly and we do not get down on mats. Dress in comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. You will need a sticky yoga mat for foot grip.   • American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED

    This course is designed for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements or for those who have a desire to learn the techniques of CPR and the use of an AED. This classroom based, instructor-led course teaches adult, child and infant CPR/AED as well as choking management. Please note: This class is not intended for individuals needing healthcare provider certification.   • Anoka Aquatic Center

    Make a splash at the Anoka Aquatic Center. Enjoy the water slides, adventure walk, water sprays, fountains and plenty of room to swim. Coast Guard approved life jackets are permitted in the zero-depth entry swimming area with staff present in the water. Bring a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen.     Community Education offers a wide range of aquatic opportunities for community members of all ages, including swimming lessons, water exercise, competitive swim training, American Red Cross certification courses, and recreational open swim opportunities at Roosevelt Community Pool in Blaine.
  • Archery and Outdoors Camp

    We want kids to understand that there is more to active life and sport than traditional sports, and through archery, we have witnessed the passion and excitement for sport by way of bow and arrow. Each day kids will learn the safety, technique and fun in the sport that dates back hundreds of years ago. And along with the Archery unit, campers will get the opportunity to geo-cache, build forts, play frisbee games and more. This is all about getting these kids to enjoy the great outdoors!   • Babies and Ones Classes (Birth to 23 months) - Non-Separating

    ECFE is your source for the information and support you need during all those incredible firsts. These classes are a collection of courses focused on the essential topics you need to know. Babies and Ones classes do not separate - parenting education discussions take place in the classroom. Children are encouraged to continue playing under the supervision of an early childhood teacher but are reassured by the presence of their parent/caregiver.

Bring your little one to their very own playtime where the focus is on fun activities, education and support from other parents and an early childhood teacher. What is Playtime? Together, parent, caregivers and children enjoy exploring art, books, stories, active play, songs, rhymes and lots of fun! Playtime will enhance small and large motor skills, self-esteem and social skills, plus there are new friends for everyone. Registration fee is per child. Guidelines Parents and children remain together. Limit of four children per adult. No food allowed. Limited number of families for safety and enjoyment of all. Do not bring children who are ill. Practice good hand hygiene – use handwashing facilities prior to entering Playtime. All toys are cleaned, and play area sanitized at the end of each Playtime.

  • Babysitting 101

    This course is best suited for 10 to 13-year-olds interested in learning the current practices of caring for young children and how to manage their babysitting business. Students will learn safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants and how to handle behavior problems. Students receive a reference book, handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit. Presented by Emergency Outfitters.

  • Battle Drones

    Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork, and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents’ drones. Students will be guided by experienced camp instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones. The best drone pilots and launchers will emerge victorious! Presented by COR Robotics.
  • Beginner Tango Workshop

    Experience and learn the dramatic style of Tango. It is a progressive/moving dance, with a “staccato” movement of the feet, almost “cat-like”. Class will cover basic steps and partnership connection. If possible, wear shoes without rubber soles. Couples only, please.     Have you always wanted to learn how to play a guitar? Begin a musical journey by learning how to play common chords on the guitar and gain the skills needed to play popular songs. You will learn harmony, proper technique, and rhythmic skills to advance your guitar playing abilities. Guitars are provided to use during the class.
